Thank you for considering working with Red&Crew.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Your site is built using the WordPress system, the most popular content management system (CMS) in the world.

Used by nearly 75 million websites worldwide, WordPress is easy to use, even if you’re not a techie.

If you have already registered your domain:

You can keep your domain with the current registrar if you wish. We will request login details to your account so we can “delegate” the domain once your new site is ready.

This means the domain name needs to point to the server (hosting) that holds all your website files so the browser can display your new website instead of the old one. Red&Crew will look after this for you.

Some clients prefer to have their domain and hosting in the one place to make it easier to keep track of. Our host can transfer the domain management for no charge if you wish.

If you need to register a domain name:

Red&Crew can organise domain registration on your behalf, and send you reminders when the domain is due for renewal.

We look after the setup or transfer of your website hosting for you. With so many clients having poor experiences with their web hosts, we host all of our client’s sites with our preferred Australian host as they provide excellent reliability and customer service.

Why regular maintenance is essential:
Updates to the operating system occur quite frequently to address security vulnerabilities and increase robustness. Although hidden from view, the backend of your website needs to keep working properly to ensure your website is available to the world.

Our Maintenance Service ensures your website uses the latest version of WordPress (essential for proper security). Your website Theme and Plugins also need to be kept up to date to match the WordPress version.

There is no limit to the number of pages your can have in a website.

However, research has shown the 5 essential pages that a business needs are:

  • Home page
  • Service or Product information page
  • Contact/Enquiry page
  • Frequently Asked Questions page
  • About Us page

However, you decide which pages are best for your particular customers.

Once your site is live, you can add extra pages at any time yourself. We will provide you with instructions on how to do this.

Firstly, we will send you a link to our brief online questionnaire.

This questionnaire will ask you questions about your business so we can get started on designing and building your website.

You will be asked to supply:

  • business details (address, phone etc)
  • domain name details
  • your logo artwork (if you have one already)
  • words you want to say in the website
  • images you want included.

You will also be asked questions about what you are selling and who is your ideal customer.

We may ask you some follow-up questions once we receive your questionnaire.

Best practice website design requires a logo image in the top left hand corner of the website that is fixed on every page. Visitors know that clicking this image will take them back to the home page. It is also a good visual reinforcement of your business name.

If you don’t have a logo artwork, we will make your business name into an image that will substitute for a logo until you have one designed.

You may purchase a Logo Design from Red&Crew.
We can design a professional logo to appear on your website, business cards etc.

See our some of our logo designs here.

Yes, you can add content whenever you wish.

You can add pages, blog posts, upload images and pdf files with Wordpress which features a built-in Content Management System (called CMS).

Once your website is live, we will provide you with the login codes. You will log in to the “backend” of your website via a browser (Chrome, Explorer etc) and update your website any time you have access to the internet.

We show you how to do this and provide free phone support for the first month after going live.

Once we hand over the site to you, you can add extra pages at any time. We will provide you with instructions on how to do this.

If you don’t feel confident, we can provide you with a written quote for setting up extra pages.

Red&Crew is committed to delivering you an awesome website in the shortest possible time frame.

As a guide, most new websites are online within 4-5 weeks of starting.

You will be sent an email confirming that your website is in production and notices at key stages along the way.

Yes, you can add an online store when you purchase your Red&Crew site or later on.

Once your store is set up correctly, you can add, delete and manage the products yourself.

Adding a Blog

A Blog can be added to your site and the link will appear in the navigation menu of the site.

Your website content management system (CMS) enables you to create Posts and Pages. A Post is different to a Page (although it often looks the same).

The idea is to write a lot of Blog Posts which may be saved as a draft, published immediately or scheduled for a later date.

The Blog Page in your website then acts like an index or archive page. It is set up to gather all your Posts automatically to display on the Blog index page so your visitor can browse your posts and click on those that interest them to read further.

Blog Setup Service

We will create 3 Sample Blog Posts for you to edit as your first blog posts. You can then duplicate the setup and write new posts whenever you like.

We also set up a Sidebar on the Blog Page (or other selected pages) where a list of your latest Posts will be displayed.

If you want to add functions down the track, just get in touch with us.

Some of the things we can help you with include:

  • Blog
  • Email campaigns
  • Printed brochure or stationery
  • Printed newsletter
  • eCommerce store
  • Memberships
  • eBooks
  • Lead Magnets and download system
  • Google Maps listing
  • Facebook setup and posts
